Junior Ranger Jamboree 2024

Junior Rangers learn how to safely build a campfire with a ranger at Anastasia State Park.

The Florida Park Service is hosting the Second Annual Junior Ranger Jamboree at multiple state parks on Kids to Parks Day, May 18, 2024.

The statewide event is a great way for kids to spend the day in a park, learn about Florida’s natural and cultural resources and make new friends. Jamboree events at five parks will include fun booths and group activities. New Junior Rangers can be sworn in and receive their own Junior Ranger badge. Jamborees are taking place at the following state parks:

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park

Rock Springs Run State Reserve

Visitors can enjoy bicycling, hiking or horseback riding along 17 miles of trails. Guided trail rides and horse rentals are available. Primitive campsites on Rock Springs Run and the Wekiva River are accessible by canoe only.
