Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park
Paynes Prairie is an unpredictable Florida treasure, boasting herds of wild horses and bison, nearly 300 species of birds and a unique ecosystem that visitors will enjoy exploring. The park’s eight trails, including the 16-mile paved Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail, allow one to explore the park’s interior and observe wildlife, while a 50-foot high observation tower provides for panoramic views.

St. Andrews State Park

Well-known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters, this former military reservation has over 1.5 miles of beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and Grand Lagoon.

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park
The formal gardens are the centerpiece of our park, with remarkable displays of native and non-native plant species including azaleas, camellias and bird of paradise. Washington Oaks is also famous for the unique shoreline of coquina rock formations along its Atlantic beach.
