Visitors can explore the maritime hammocks, ancient sand dunes and historic coquina quarry before taking a dip in the Atlantic along pristine, white-sand beaches.

Huge trees and fern-covered sinkholes line Sinkhole Trail, the boardwalk that leads visitors to Florida's highest waterfall. Falling Waters Sink is a 100-foot-deep, 20-foot-wide cylindrical pit into which flows a small stream that drops 73 feet to the bottom of the sink.

A sparkling spring run and boardwalk beneath a cypress forest make Manatee Springs State Park a breathtaking destination for visitors to this unique Florida gem. Visitors enjoy camping, hiking, swimming and canoeing, while keeping an eye out for the West Indian manatees that frequent this park.

An unexpected oasis surrounded by busy urban areas provides visitors with a refreshing escape into natural Florida. This hidden gem is also a refuge for the imperiled Florida scrub-jay, bald eagles and other birds that nest along the shores of Lake Osprey.
