Just minutes from downtown Miami on the tip of Key Biscayne, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park offers visitors breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay from atop its historic 1825 lighthouse.

The historic site of a free-slave settlement, this park preserves both history and natural beauty. The park offers picnic areas, observation and birding boardwalk, kayak launch boardwalk, a visitor center and museum.

Occupying more than 70,000 acres of land formerly known as the Cross Florida Barge Canal, the Greenway is a 110-mile linear park that is more than a mile wide in places. It hosts more than 300 miles of trails of all types — paddling, hiking, mountain biking, equestrian and paved multi-use.

This 70-foot deep, first-magnitude spring offers opportunities for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. A hidden gem in north-central Florida, Troy Spring has picnic tables, an interpretive nature trail, and a riverside dock for canoeists and boaters.
