Birding
Birding

Numerous species of wading birds and waterfowl as well as bald eagles and osprey can be observed at the Kenwood Recreation Area.

Boating
Boating

Boating is available in the 9,000-acre Rodman Reservoir at this site.

  • Numerous underwater obstructions (submerged stumps and floating logs) are located throughout Rodman Reservoir. Navigating and staying within the marked navigation channels is strongly recommended.
Fishing
Fishing

Rodman Reservoir is perennially ranked in the Top 10 Trophy large mouth bass destinations in Florida by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. It is also known for excellent bream fishing including speckled perch, bluegill and warmouth as well as catfish.

  • All fishing within the park must conform to regulations concerning size, number, method of capture and season.
  • A fishing license may be required. More information is available at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission website Fishing in Florida.
Picnicking
Picnicking

Visitors are welcome to use the available pavilions or grassy areas for picnicking as desired.

Wildlife Viewing

Wading birds and other aquatic avian species are regularly seen at Kenwood. White-tailed deer, wild turkey and other wildlife species are common.

Accessible Amenities

The Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway is committed to providing a variety of amenities accessible to visitors. These amenities include:

  • Picnic pavilion.
  • Parking.
  • Boat ramp.
  • Floating dock.

Service animals are welcome in all areas of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway.

Boat Ramp
Boat Ramp

A two-lane boat ramp with a floating dock is located at the Kenwood Recreation Area.

  • Numerous underwater obstructions (submerged stumps and floating logs) are located throughout Rodman Reservoir. Navigating and staying within the marked navigation channels is strongly recommended.
Parking
Parking

Ample stabilized parking is available at the Kenwood Recreation Area.

Pets
Pets

Pets are welcome at Kenwood Recreation Area. All pets must be on a hand-held, 6-foot leash at all times. Pets may not be left unattended.

  • Pet owners must pick up after their pets and properly dispose of all pet droppings in trash receptacles.
  • Service animals are allowed in all areas of the park.
