Boating
Boating

Boaters can enjoy the 108-slip bayside marina or anchor offshore in calm weather. Overnight docking with electric and water hookups is permitted in the bayside marina, but boaters must register before sundown.

  • For the safety of all visitors and wildlife, please obey all navigable and motorboat exclusion signage.
Camping Boat
Camping Boat

Caladesi Island State Park has a marina with floating docks with 30 amp electric service and water hookups. A covered pavilion with a grill is available for picnicking. A snack bar and gift shop is located in the marina. Three sites are ADA accessible.

  • The marina is a designated Clean Marina.
  • For reservations, visit the Florida State Parks reservations website or call 800-326-3521 or TDD 888-433-0287. Reservations can be made online, first-come, first served in the marina. Fees are $24 per night, plus tax, plus a nonrefundable $6.70 reservation fee or $1 per foot, plus tax, at the marina. T docks cannot be reserved and rent for $2 per foot, including tax.
Fishing
Fishing

Fishing is allowed in designated areas. All fishing within the park must conform to regulations concerning size, number, method of capture and season. 

  • A fishing license may be required. More information is available at the Florida Wildlife Commission’s Fishing in Florida.
Hiking
Hiking

Hiking the nature trails, including the Beach Loop and Hammock Loop, is the perfect way to view the flora and fauna that Caladesi Island has to offer. The terrain is mostly flat and is sandy in some areas.

Paddling
Paddling

Enjoy over 3 miles of paddling through the majestic mangrove tunnels of Caladesi Island. Keep an eye out for birds, crabs and fish. Parts of the trail may be inaccessible during extreme low tides.

Picnicking
Picnicking

Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are two picnic pavilions available to rent. Contact the ranger station at 727-469-5918 to reserve a pavilion.

  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages Is prohibited.
Shelling
Shelling

Beach combing or shelling is a popular activity for many visitors. Collectors can find a multitude of shells including conchs, whelks and olives. Plan your shelling around the low phase of the tide which exposes most of the beach area.

  • Live shelling is prohibited.
Swimming
Swimming

Swimming is available in designated areas.

Weddings
Weddings

America's Best Beach in 2008 is perfect for weddings. Visit Cafe Honeymoon or call 727-260-5503 for more information.

Amenities

Accessible Amenities
Accessible Amenities

Caladesi Island State Park is committed to providing a variety of amenities accessible to all of our visitors.

These amenities include:

  • Ferry from Honeymoon Island to the park.
  • Elevated boardwalks to the beach.
  • Beach wheelchairs are available for free. Inquire at the ranger station.
  • Picnic facilities with tables and grills.
  • Caladesi Café for food and gifts.
  • Restrooms.

Service animals are welcome in all areas of Florida State Parks.

Beach Warning Flags Signage

Visitors to coastal parks are reminded to pay close attention to the Warning Flag Signs posted at welcome stations and on the beaches. These flags indicate the swimming conditions at the beach:

  • Double red flags mean absolutely no swimming because of high winds and undertow currents.
  • Red flags mean high surf and/or strong conditions.
  • Yellow flag means swim with caution and stay close to shore.
  • Green flag means that the waters are safe.
  • Purple flag means that marine pests are present.

OPENING SOON – The Caladesi Discovery Center is a three-story, open-air observation tower. Visit the friends’ website for more information.

Pets
Pets

Pets are not allowed on the beach at any time. They are permitted in the rest of the park as long as they are on a six-foot hand-held leash and must be under the owner's control at all times. Pets are not allowed on the ferry to Caladesi Island.

There are two picnic pavilions available for rent. Contact the Caladesi Island Ranger Station at 727-469-5918 to reserve a pavilion.

ADA accessible restroom facilities are available at the park.

Outdoor showers are located at the North and South bath house.
