Francesca is a park ranger at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. She enjoys biking on the Gainesville-to-Hawthorne State Trail during her free time.

What is your favorite part of this greenway or trail?

I don't know the exact location, but there is a beautiful overlook of what I think is Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park and it's absolutely amazing.

What does a visitor need to know before they can explore this trail?

Bring lots of water and sunscreen, maybe some snacks too, if you plan on biking/hiking the whole trail. There is a restroom on the trail and it was easily accessible.
