Hurricane Michael Recovery Efforts

On October 10, 2018 the Florida Pandhandle changed forever, and so did many of its state parks.

Hurricane Michael, a category five hurricane, moved through the Panhandle, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. The hurricane impacted 31 parks throughout the Panhandle. Some parks had small amount of debris and downed trees, while others sustained major damage.
