Park Ranger, Kevin Callahan

Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area At Flagler Beach

Kevin Callahan has been a park ranger at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area for ten years and has lived in the surrounding community for over for 55 years.

Prior to coming to Gamble Rogers, Kevin spent 30 years in the construction industry. Kevin has always been interested in the ecology and natural beauty of the area - he grew up surfing and fishing and considered North Peninsula State Park as part of his backyard.

Kevin feels fortunate to participate in the Florida Park Service’s mission to preserve, interpret and restore the state’s natural and cultural resources. He feels that state parks add to the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

Kevin has been married to Debi Callahan for 32 years and has a daughter, family and friends in the area. Kevin says "This is not just a job for me - I look forward to coming to work every day." and we're grateful for everything he does here to preserve and protect Florida's natural resources.
