The formal gardens are the centerpiece of our park, with remarkable displays of native and non-native plant species including azaleas, camellias and bird of paradise. Washington Oaks is also famous for the unique shoreline of coquina rock formations along its Atlantic beach.

Whether riding the waves, strolling the shores or fishing from the jetties, beach lovers will find their paradise at Sebastian Inlet State Park. Calmer waters on the Indian River Lagoon beckon kayakers to explore wild beauty.

Occupying more than 70,000 acres of land formerly known as the Cross Florida Barge Canal, the Greenway is a 110-mile linear park that is more than a mile wide in places. It hosts more than 300 miles of trails of all types — paddling, hiking, mountain biking, equestrian and paved multi-use.
