Effective Feb. 6, 2026: A Burn Ban is currently in place for all of Alachua County, including Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. Visitors are permitted to use barbeque grills or barbeque pits where the total fuel area does not exceed three feet in diameter and two feet in height.
