Historic House Closure

Effective Aug. 1, 2025: The historic house at Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park is closed for its annual cleaning through September. Historic house tours are scheduled to resume Oct. 2, 2025. Other park facilities including the historic farmyard, grove and tenant house remain open during the historic house cleaning.

Hours

  • The park grounds are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
  • Guided tours of the farmhouse interior are available Thursday through Sunday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
  • The house will be closed for archival cleaning from Aug. 1 through Sept. 30 and will reopen for tours on Oct. 2, 2025.

Fees

Admission

  • $3 per group in one vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay the fee. Correct change is needed.
  • Admission does not guarantee entry to the farmhouse. The interior of the farmhouse can only be accessed via the guided tour. Guided Tours are not conducted on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
  • Admission can be paid online on the day of your visit.
