The boardwalk system that descends to the bottom of the Devil's Millhopper is open. 

A half-mile nature trail meanders along the top of the sinkhole. Dogs on a hand-held 6-foot leash are welcome. 

Picnicking
Picnicking

The park is a popular spot for a quick escape from town for a picnic. Dogs on a hand-held 6-foot leash are welcome. A wheelchair accessible table is provided.

Tours
Tours

Guided walks with a ranger are available every Saturday at 10 a.m. Special guided walks for groups are available by reservation.

Wildlife Viewing

Squirrels, rabbits and a variety of reptiles and amphibians can be seen in the park. Birds of the pinelands and suburbs are also commonly sighted.

Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park is committed to providing a variety of amenities accessible to all of our visitors. These amenities include:

  • Visitor center with interpretive exhibits.
  • Picnic facilities with tables and grills.

Service animals are welcome in all areas of Florida State Parks.

Historic Site
Historic Site

This National Natural Landmark has been visited by the curious since the 1880s. Fossilized remains of extinct animals found at the bottom of the sink have helped researchers learn about Florida's natural history. 

Interpretive Exhibit

Interpretive exhibits provide information about the geological features of the park.

Parking is available. 

Pets
Pets

Bring your pet for a walk on the nature trail, go for a picnic or walk down to the sinkhole. Please be a responsible pet owner and pick up after your pet. 

  • Pets must be on a 6-foot hand-held leash.
