Since the water stays at this temperature year-round, it is perfect for a cooling swimming in the long, hot days of summer. The depth of the spring pool varies from 5 to 18 feet. The remarkable clarity of the water gives snorkelers ample opportunity to spot fish, turtles and other aquatic wildlife.

This first-magnitude spring is actually a series of small vents that collectively pump out more than 400 million gallons of water a day. As one of Florida’s largest springs, the park attracts visitors from all over the world who want to witness this natural wonder.
