Using GPS technology, users can pinpoint any location, mark it and share it with others, encouraging them to explore. Participants do not need a Global Positioning System (GPS) to search for waymarks - sometimes a zip code provides enough information.
Find a Waymark
- Find a waymark by using keywords or a zip code at www.waymarking.com
- Look through possible clues until you locate one or more that interest you.
- Print the clues or go paperless if you can.
- Search for the waymark. Enjoy your exploration.
- Share your experience on the website by navigating back to the clue and clicking on the Log It! Button.
Post a Waymark
- Find a place that you want to share with others.
- Use your GPS unit to record the waypoint or latitude/longitude coordinates.
- If this location is inside a state park, please be aware that archaeological and historic sites are sensitive.
- Log into www.waymarking.com and record your Waymark, using clues to help others find it.

Vocabulary
