Staff Spotlight, Natalie Lloyd

Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Natalie Lloyd’s passion for wildlife was ignited early by the Jeff Corwin Experience, inspiring a lifelong dream to be a voice for Florida’s natural world. While others spent summers at sports camps, Natalie was deep in nature camps, where exploration and curiosity became her second nature.

A field trip to Myakka River State Park at age six planted the seed for her future career. Before becoming a Ranger, she honed her skills at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, where her talent for identifying remains earned her the nickname “The Bone Whisperer.”

Now, with 37,000 acres to explore, Natalie uses her degree in Elementary Education to help visitors understand why our wild spaces matter. For Natalie, the best part of the Florida Park Service is the constant discovery—learning something new every day to pass along to the next generation of nature lovers.
