Meet Jonathan Aguilar, park ranger at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park!
Jonathan has been working for the Florida Park Service since 2022 and his enthusiasm for being a Park Ranger comes from growing up in Miami and hiking in the Everglades. In addition, Jonathan is a former Mountain Guide from Mount McKinley and has climbed many of the peaks in Yosemite National Park.
Jonathan’s favorite part of being a Ranger is being part of a team dedicated to the preservation of “old Florida”. His ambition is to have a long career in the Florida Park Service as a Ranger, and to pass on the knowledge he’s learned about the importance of conservation.
“I’ve never had a day here where I didn’t want to come to work. Everybody that works here believes in what they do. When you can be a part of that kind of team, that’s awesome!”
We hope that you will visit Fort Pierce Inlet State Park soon and allow Jonathan and the rest of our experienced team to share our story with you.
