From Passion to Career

We are excited to welcome Dan Goggin to the team at Curry Hammock State Park!

Dan brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for Florida’s natural treasures. Prior to joining Curry Hammock, Dan served as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic at Koreshan State Park for nearly five years. Before that, he worked as a Park Ranger at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, where he honed his skills in natural resource protection, visitor services and park operations.

Dan's journey into the Florida Park Service was inspired by over 30 years of enjoying Florida State Parks with his family. His lifelong connection to the outdoors and love for Florida’s diverse ecosystems led him to turn his passion into a career dedicated to preserving and protecting these special places.
When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Dan fishing, exploring nature trails or spending time with his two beloved dogs, Bradley and Tank. You might also catch him observing local wildlife or studying the unique ecosystems of the Florida Keys shoreline and trails.
