The Fountain of Youth Eco/Heritage tour departs four times daily. This 50-minute trip travels through De Leon Springs State Park and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge.
After passengers find a comfortable seat, the Fountain of Youth Boat Tour will ease away from the dock to begin telling the tale of these "healing waters," named by the Mayaca Indians. Much of the story will unfold before your eyes as osprey swoop down to pluck a fish for a meal and alligators warm themselves in the sun.
As we explore nature, we will also talk about the area's 6,000 years of history and some myths. Was Ponce de Leon really here? Whatever your interest, your are sure to enjoy your time with us.
The U.S. Coast Guard-inspected pontoon boat has all the necessary equipment for your safety and comfort. The boat is wheelchair accessible with parking nearby.
Additional times are available by special arrangement.
Tickets are $14 plus tax, children under 4 admitted free, and a minimum of eight passengers is required for a trip. Please remember that tour prices do not include the park entry fee and that tours are subject to the whims of Mother Nature.
If you are waiting to eat at the Sugar Mill Restaurant, you can take the tour and you will not lose your place on the waiting list!
