Mike's story is a testament to pursuing one's passions and the joy found in serving both nature and the community.

Mike Bell's journey from Indiana to Florida reflects a profound appreciation for nature and a commitment to community service. After a 25-year career of self-employment, Mike and his wife sought a life away from snowy winters, embracing the diversity of Florida's outdoors. His passion for nature, nurtured since childhood, seamlessly transitioned into his role as a park ranger.

Beyond maintenance, Mike enriches the community's outdoor experiences. During the spring and fall, he occasionally leads the Rim Ramble hike on Saturdays, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the environment. His readiness to help wherever needed has made him a valued member of the Florida State Park’s staff.

For Mike, working as a park ranger is more than a job; it's the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. His story is a testament to pursuing one's passions and the joy found in serving both nature and the community.
