Ashleigh Christensen, Park Ranger
Ashleigh particularly enjoys being involved with the sea turtles and other wildlife within the park.
After years working in the medical field, Ashleigh felt compelled to pursue a career change. Traveling from Oregon to Florida, her passion for conservation and helping others led her to the Florida Park Service, where she volunteered at Sebastian Inlet State Park. It was here that Ashleigh realized this was the career she had been searching for, and in May 2024, she became a full-time park ranger.
Shortly after assuming this role, Ashleigh took on the responsibility of serving as the park's safety officer. What she loves most about working in the park service is the ability to educate others and help protect valuable natural and cultural resources. Ashleigh particularly enjoys being involved with the sea turtles and other wildlife within the park, and she looks forward to seeing where her career path leads in the future.
