MacArthur Beach State Park as a young child, she became a counselor-in-training. Since then, she has been applying her passion and talent to the program at every turn.

Mike Petellat has received the 2020 Volunteer of the Year Award for Resource Management. Since he began volunteering at Crystal River Archaeological State Park in 2014, Mike has contributed more than 3,700 hours researching the area, leading interpretive tours and helping with projects.
