Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach

Ranger Christian Gibbs, who was born and raised in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in southwest Virginia, grew up visiting Flagler beaches as a child with his grandfather. He moved to Florida in 2016 with his wife to be closer to and assist his retired parents. He always has had an interest in experiencing different environments, having grown up in the Appalachian Mountains and traveling to Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona and other states while growing up.

Christian wanted to experience first-hand the coastal environment and its stark differences from the mountainous region he grew up in. He enjoys the Intracoastal Waterway and observing nature and wildlife.

Christian loves what he does and most likely can be found patrolling the park, tending to natural resources and assisting park visitors. His favorite thing about the park is the wide variety of wildlife, especially the sea turtles and gopher tortoises. Christian has full-time RV'd for several years in his adult life, traveling as far as Colorado to assist in the restoration and redesign of motor homes. His expertise in mechanical maintenance and his positive attitude are very much appreciated at the park.
