Hugh Taylor Birch State Park

Tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, this peaceful sanctuary offers visitors a slice of coastal wilderness within a vibrant city. Fort Lauderdale’s “Central Park” was gifted to the city by Hugh Taylor Birch, for whom the urban oasis is named.

St. Andrews State Park

With the Gulf of America on one side and St. Andrews Bay on the other, visitors who crave swimming, snorkeling or surfing will be more than satisfied. Well-known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters, this former military reservation has over 1.5 miles of beaches on the Gulf of America and Grand Lagoon.
