Experiences
The park offers over seven miles of hiking on multi-use trails. The trails pass through sunny upland pine communities and shady wetlands. Wildlife viewing opportunities are abundant as visitors may see deer, raccoons, bear, birds of prey and a wide variety of songbirds.
Although the terrain is relatively flat, the trails can be quite sandy and there are some low water crossings where your feet will get wet.
- Hikers are encouraged to prepare for wilderness hiking as there are no facilities.
Mountain bikers can enjoy seven miles of multi-use trails that traverse the park. The trails pass through upland pine natural communities and hardwood wetlands that offer opportunities to view a wide variety of wildlife.
- Bikers should expect sandy trails with areas of wet conditions including some low water crossings.
- Pack plenty of water to drink.
- Enjoy the view of the headwaters of the St. Marks River.
Amenities
Equestrians can enjoy seven miles worth of multi-use trails that take visitors through the headwaters of the St. Marks River. There is ample space for parking trailers at the Tram Road trail head.
- There are no facilities so equestrians must plan to bring all supplies with them for the day.
