Visitors are likely to spot bald eagles and osprey soaring high above the trees.

A hiking trail is available. A half-mile interpretive trail starts at the base of the ceremonial mound boardwalk and winds past several smaller mounds before ending at the restroom near the parking lot.

A covered pavilion with several picnic tables is available.

Letchworth-Love Mounds offers a one-hour ranger-guided interpretive tour with a two-week notice. We can accommodate groups up to 50 people.

If your group is bigger than 50 people or you cannot give us a two-week notice, please call the office at 850-487-7989. We do make every reasonable effort to accommodate all tour groups when the situation allows.

Deer, squirrel and wild turkey are seen frequently in the park.

The people who built the mound are believed to have been members of the Swift Creek Culture, a group of Native Americans who lived in North Florida between 200 and 450 A.D.

Interpretive Exhibit
Interpretive Exhibit

The interpretive exhibit is located at the picnic pavilion. Educate yourself about the Native Americans who once inhabited the area around Letchworth-Love Mounds.
