Hours & Fees

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Effective July 1, 2024: The campground, cabins and marina at Hontoon Island State Park remain closed for overnight accommodations. Ferry service to the island is offered from 8 a.m. until two hours before sundown at the top of each hour. The last ferry leaves the island one hour before sundown.

  • The park is open from 8 a.m. until one hour before sunset, 365 days a year.

Fees

Admission

  • No entrance fee is required to enter this park.
  • Primitive campsite: $18 per night plus tax.
  • Boat campsite: $18 per night plus a nonrefundable $6.70 reservation fee and a $7 nightly utility fee. Includes water and electric hookups.

Cabins

  • Primitive cabin, up to four people: $30 per night plus tax, plus a nonrefundable $6.70 reservation fee and a $7 nightly utility fee.
  • Primitive cabin, up to six people: $35 per night plus tax, plus a nonrefundable $6.70 reservation fee and a $7 nightly utility fee.
