Jim Quyle began volunteering at Ponce de Leon Springs State Park in September 2022. Since then, he has volunteered over 1,400 volunteer hours and has become an invaluable asset to the park. Jim demonstrates excellent people skills in his daily interactions with park visitors and consistently shows a strong desire to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities. He regularly goes above and beyond in his duties, which include trail maintenance, landscaping and general groundskeeping.
Outside of volunteering, Jim enjoys spending time with his son and hiking. He has hiked 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail and has explored numerous other trails across various states.
Jim has represented Ponce de Leon Springs State Park with professionalism and enthusiasm throughout his time here, and we hope he continues to be an active part of our volunteer program.
