What began as a spark of curiosity for his son has grown into a meaningful family tradition of service at Koreshan State Park.
Jeff Mosher was introduced to the park through his son, Tyler, who met our resident blacksmith Steve Kalb. Steve invited Tyler to learn the trade in exchange for volunteer hours. Tyler, who was then in his early 20s, enthusiastically embraced the opportunity. Inspired by his son’s experience, Jeff, a stay-at-home dad to his young daughter Mena, decided to get involved himself.
Within a few months, Jeff began volunteering in the park’s maintenance department, where his mechanical skills quickly made an impact. From diagnosing and repairing golf carts and vehicles to troubleshooting other equipment, Jeff became an invaluable asset to the team.
His dedication didn’t stop there. Jeff soon joined the board of our Citizen Support Organization, The Friends of Koreshan, where he now serves as Treasurer. His contributions span a wide range—from restoring historic equipment and identifying popular gift shop items to cooking meals that show appreciation for our hardworking rangers and volunteers.
Jeff’s love for the park’s rich history and his willingness to help wherever needed make him a standout member of our volunteer community. He is a proud father to Tyler and Mena, and husband to Michelle. Together, the Mosher family enjoys spending time at the park and giving back through volunteerism.
We’re grateful for Jeff’s passion, talent and heart—and we’re lucky to have the whole Mosher family as part of the Koreshan community!
