Volunteers Bruce and Brenda Dobbs 

Bruce and Brenda Dobbs are the recipients of the Volunteer Team of Two Award for Protection. 

Bruce and Brenda Dobbs have contributed thousands of hours to volunteering in Florida’s state parks. Their assigned job duties at Manatee Springs are ranger station and waterfront. The waterfront position manages the day-use area for safety, environmental protection and more.  

Bruce and Brenda have made lasting impressions on other volunteers, guests and staff. Each year park visitors ask when the Dobbs will be coming back. With their friendly disposition they have been able to promote safe recreation and protect the sensitive environment around Manatee Springs. 

Bruce and Brenda have worked four seasons at Manatee Springs State Park. Their knowledge and customer service skills are top notch, which enables them to train new volunteers.  

Bruce and Brenda are well known for their sense of humor, friendly attitudes and amazing customer service.
