Tiffany began her career in natural resource management with an internship in marine biology in the Florida Keys then headed back to the Panhandle to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Florida State University. After two more internships at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park and The Nature Conservancy, Tiffany worked seven years with the Florida Forest Service in Tate’s Hell State Forest, averaging 90,000 burn acres a year and working extensively with removing non-native plants and studying imperiled species.

Tiffany joined the Florida State Parks in 2012 as a park ranger at St. George Island State Park. Since then, her career has taken her to  Wakulla Springs State Park, Ichetucknee Springs State Park and the last four years as a park ranger at Florida Caverns State Park.

She is legendary in the prescribed fire realm and has been featured in National Geographic magazine as part of the Women of Wildfire series. She has been on 28 wildfire deployments around the country, served as a dozier operator, National Wildfire Coordinating Group instructor, wildfire prevention coordinator with Florida Forest Service, and worked hundreds of prescribed fires.

A truly well-rounded ranger, Tiffany also has several other titles: certified interpreter guide, archaeological resource monitor, kayak instructor and boat captain. She excels in administration, and one of her favorite parts of the job is swearing in new Junior Rangers.

In her spare time Tiffany enjoys fishing, hiking with her beagle, camping, boating and trying to keep her husband, Jason, straight.
