Staff Spotlight, Sophia Monti

We are thrilled to announce Seabranch and St. Lucie Inlet’s newest park ranger – Sophia Monti! Sophia started here in March 2025. Prior to working for the Park Service, Sophia was working at the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve as a Conservation Technician. She attended the University of Delaware where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation.

Sophia brings a positive light to the team and always has a bright smile on her face. She is always willing to do and learn new things and is described by her team as hardworking, joyful and passionate. Her favorite part of her job is the opportunity to work outside while learning more about Florida Ecology. She enjoys being able to help manage a “little pocket of wildlife” here in Florida!

In her free time, she enjoys bike riding, fishing, and hanging out at the beach.
