Hannah O’Carroll started her career in the park service in 2022 as a Park Ranger at the Islamorada Area State Parks. Prior to moving to Florida, Hannah earned her Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology and Fisheries at North Carolina State University.
In her role as a Park Services Specialist at Seabranch and St. Lucie Inlet Preserves, Hannah helps manage natural and cultural resources, helps manage volunteers, and does interpretive programming for the parks. She is described as compassionate, creative and intelligent by her peers. Her favorite part of her job is the opportunity to manage resources through methods such as prescribed fire while also speaking with the public about the importance of conservation and resource management.
In her free time, she enjoys free diving, birding and wildlife photography.
