Staff Spotlight, Adam Spaulding

Adam is a Florida native and has lived all over the state. He got his first taste of the Florida Park Service through volunteering, and he was inspired to begin a career protecting and interpreting the state’s natural and cultural resources.

Adam has always loved the outdoors. He grew up up hunting and fishing with his grandfather.

“The outdoors gives you the opportunity to explore new areas and view wildlife in their natural habitat.”

Adam’s favorite aspect about Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park is that it provides a peaceful place for people to visit and enjoy nature while still being within the city limits. His favorite time of year is autumn, when the weather cools and the leaves begin to fall from the trees. If you come on a Saturday, you may be able to catch Adam doing his favorite activity in the park, leading a guided walk!
