Experience Gamble Jam

A view of a man playing a violin, and another man playing a guitar, while a woman watches.

The Gamble Jam is a family-friendly event that occurs every second and fourth Saturday of the month.  The park hosts this acoustic jam session at one of the pavilions along the river to honor the memory of James Gamble Rogers IV, the Florida folk musician who lost his life in 1991 while trying to rescue a swimmer in the rough surf.

The park was formerly named Flagler Beach State Recreation Area and was renamed Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach following the musician’s death.  Musicians of all levels are invited to bring their instruments and play music in a relaxed, outdoor setting.  Meet other musicians, practice or just have fun listening!

This program takes place between 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and is free with paid park admission. You do not need reservations to participate.
