Environmental Specialist Levi Blackmon
Levi Blackmon desires to see a path back to the once longleaf pine ecosystem that dominated the southeast United States. Fire happens to be the integral part of this goal, which is where Levi comes in. He believes in improving the natural state of the land through proactive fire plans.
As a native of Blackwater River State Forest, Levi is excited to be a part of the Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park and Blackwater River State Park Team.
Spring is Levi’s favorite time of year, and he enjoys walking through the sun shadowed woods of the forest, especially in the morning. Having grown up in the woods, he has always enjoyed the serenity of being outside and is looking forward to beginning his adventure with the Florida Park Service.
