Park Services Specialist, Byron Feagle

Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail

Byron Feagle is the park services specialist for the Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail. He was born and raised in Florida and grew up in the Gainesville area. Byron has never liked being cooped up indoors and his ideal day involves being in the sun with a fishing pole in his hand. Naturally he ended up working with the Office of Greenways and Trails, and eventually the Florida Park Service. He enjoys his job because he likes getting exercise outside and working with the trail equipment, but most of all he enjoys meeting people and helping them on the trail.

You can usually find Byron on a lawnmower cutting the grass to perfection, or with a pole saw in his hands, getting rid of downed trees that have fallen across the trail. Whether it’s his skill with a tractor, mechanical prowess or just his people skills, Byron is the guy who gets the job done.
