Volunteer Spotlight, John and Roslyn Errickson

John and Roslyn are a dynamic duo when it comes to volunteering.

John and Roslyn Errickson are a dynamic volunteer duo at the Crystal River State Parks. John volunteers with the Crystal River Preserve State Park and the Crystal River Archaeological State Park, specializing in maintenance and construction projects. Roslyn volunteers with the Crystal River Archaeological State Park and serves as a museum docent, being a bright and cheerful first point of contact to park visitors.

John and Roslyn were both born and lived in south New Jersey until moving to Florida in 2017.

John worked for IBM 29 years in customer service, hardware and software. He also worked with the Girl Scout camps doing maintenance for 10 years. He enjoys fishing and working with his hands. He is also an avid swimmer. Outside of volunteering at Florida State Parks, he volunteers with the local Habitat for Humanity doing construction.

Roslyn worked as a middle school teacher and resource room coordinator in Linwood, NJ for 36 years. Outside of her volunteer work at the Crystal River Archaeological State Park, she helps raise funds as a member of the Pilot Club of Crystal River. Besides volunteering, Roslyn enjoys playing doubles tennis and cards twice a week.
