David Hardy, Park Ranger

Park Ranger David Hardy has always liked being outdoors and near the beach. Originally from Texas, he has lived in Florida over 30 years. David served in the US Army and later became a chef.

Desiring a career change, he joined the Florida Park Service and is certified in prescribed fire and sea turtle monitoring. David likes the history of the park and the legacy of the park’s namesake, James Gamble Rogers IV.  David enjoys engaging with the park’s visitors and campers, especially at the monthly Gamble Jam sessions.

David’s goals are to be promoted to a Park Services Specialist position and help grow the park’s programs and activities.
