Mike Faustini, Park Manager
Just off busy US 19 is Werner-Boyce, a beautiful oasis on the gulf and Pasco County's only state park. Werner-Boyce is a birder’s paradise with raptors, wading birds, shorebirds and migratory birds.
There is a range of activities that can be explored at the park including hiking, fishing and kayaking. If you hike down our trails, be sure to look out for interpretive displays along the way and step inside a replica of an America Bald Eagle nest. Don’t let the Springs that are in the park deceive you, Cauldron Spring has been explored to 341 feet deep and Salt Spring to 351 feet deep.
If you’re looking to kayak but don’t have your own, Salty Dog Kayak Rentals will be glad to help you out and get you out on the water.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with park maintenance, trail maintenance and exotic plant removal. The Friends of Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park, our park’s citizen support organization, is always looking for members to help support the park. If this interests you, please give the park a call at 727-816-1890 and we would be happy to help you get involved.
