Description
The 1960s unleashed a deluge of music known for a broad range of styles marked by creative innovation and high energy. Based in Sarasota, Paisley Craze is a group of five musicians who experienced the 1960s, thrive on playing the music and enjoy bringing it to new generations. Band members include vocalist Donna Lamoureaux, guitarist Bob Dielman, bass player Marty Bednar, keyboardist Dave Mankes and drummer Bob Lunergan. The band, which is unmistakable in their colorful paisley clothing expressing the free spirit of that decade, will make their third appearance on the Music in the Park stage. The review is a mix of the British invasion featuring the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Animals. Pop hits from the Beach Boys and the Young Rascals are in their repertoire as are Motown artists such as Aretha Franklin and Smokey Robinson. They also cover West Coast Rock including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the Doors, and Jefferson Airplane. Check out paisleycraze.com.
