Description
Naturalists from Crystal River State Park, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Big Bend Seagrasses Aquatic Preserve, & Citrus County Parks and Recreation will be hosting a spring Bioblitz at the Crystal River State Park Preserve. We will be celebrating and documenting our diverse wildlife and ecosystems as we hike along the scenic hammock, flatwoods, and saltmarsh of the Dixie Shores Trails. Participants will take photos and sound recordings to document as many species as they can with the citizen science app, iNaturalist. You do not need to be tech savvy or a an avid hiker. Our 3 mile trail is beginner friendly. Groups may be split among naturalists to optimize number of species seen. Participants can stay for as long as the park is open!
