For 11 months in 1861, Confederate forces occupied Fort Clinch. During this time, there was no construction on the fort, but life went on. Reenactors and first-person interpreters take you back to the day-to-day happenings at a Confederate fort in Florida. Take a walk and learn how horseshoes are made, how water is filtered before drinking and why they left without firing a shot.
