Description
The Annual Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park is coming soon. There are 370 camellia plants inside of Eden Gardens State Park, many of them planted by Mrs. Lois Maxon before she donated the land and home to the state in 1968. Over the past 50+ years since Ms. Maxon donated the land, some varieties have been lost and some have been added.
This event, hosted by The Friends of Eden, is free with paid park admission. Additional parking for the event will be available at Bay Elementary School with shuttle service to the park. The back gate will also be open during the event which is a short walk from the Bay Elementary parking lot.
There will also be Camellia's available for purchase as part of the fundraiser, you can learn more about the camellia's that are available at The Friends of Eden Gardens Webpage.
There will be educational stations set up throughout the park for guests to enjoy, and live music. There will also be beverage and food vendors available.
