Richard has always enjoyed working outdoors and working with his hands. Combining those skills and a love for protecting Florida’s resources, it was only natural that Richard found a place to help at Fanning Springs.

The Gobles have been volunteering with Florida State Parks for five years! During their time as resident campground hosts, they’ve volunteered at Torreya, Manatee Springs, Suwannee River, and even at state parks in Georgia.

Amy has always known she wanted to work with nature and animals. After studying Wildlife Ecology, it was a natural step for her to find work with the Florida Park Service to protect our natural resources.

Stephanie's love of the outdoors led her to look for career opportunities where she could combine her skills with her passion.

Participation in Girl Scouts sparked an interest in the sciences and has inspired her to develop a lifelong passion for the outdoors.

As a child, Scarlett would see a park ranger and think "That's the coolest job!"

Deb says the Girl Scout program gave her many outdoor experiences and sparked a love for conservation that led to a career in the sciences.

The Nature Center offers interactive ways to learn about park programs, history and wildlife.

Jim and Jane hope that more people will volunteer with the Florida States Parks because it enriches the park and makes a visible difference.
