The Florida State Parks mission statement states, we provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting, and restoring natural and cultural resources. What are some of these natural and cultural resources you might ask? Join this ranger led program as we present examples on plants, animals, and history on Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park. A table will be set up inside the Lodge Lobby.
Join in a guided paddle down our beautiful salt run and experience the diverse wildlife and peaceful scenery.
In order to participate in this program, one:
• Must have the ability to follow visual and/or verbal instruction independently or with the assistance of a companion.
• Must wear a PFD and have a whistle at all times while on the water
• Must have the ability to withstand exposure to the outdoors for up to two hours, this includes currents/wave action, and exposure to insects.
• Must have the ability to operate a watercraft independently, which includes paddling against and with a current, entry/exit of the watercraft, and maneuvering the watercraft around other vessels.

It's nesting season at the park and there is a lot of activity happening on the beach. Come join a Ranger to learn about what animals are nesting right now and what precautions we take to keep them safe. Suggested items to bring are binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Please meet at the Hilltop Picnic area.
