It’s a perfect time of the year to really get out and enjoy, experience and explore some of the most awesome natural and cultural resources that Florida has to offer.

Florida school groups, including vocational schools, colleges and universities, can visit a state park without paying the day-use entry fee. We also offer the statewide Learning in Florida’s Environment (LIFE) program that brings middle school students out to public conservation lands for science-based environmental education.

Planning a family event? Picnic or grill under the park’s open air pavilion. Looking for a quiet, beautiful place to eat lunch under the oak trees? Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins Historic State Park is the place for you.

This is an ideal time to enjoy walking, biking or skating along our 47-mile multi-use trail. The trail passes through six distinct natural communities, each offering a glimpse of "the Real Florida."

Come on out to take a hike, bird-watch or to study nature. You might encounter animals such as the gopher tortoise, white-tailed deer, indigo snake and barred owls.
