The Withlacoochee Bay Trail traverses 5 miles west from the Felburn Park Trailhead to the Gulf of America along the southern side of the former Cross Florida Barge Canal.

At 47 miles, the Withlacoochee State Trail is one of the longest paved rail-trails in Florida. A flat, paved hiking and biking trail travels through small towns, agricultural lands and unique habitats.

The Yellow River Marsh Preserve protects one of Florida's last remaining tracts of wet prairie, including the largest community of pitcher plants in the state.
