One of Florida’s first state parks, the otherworldly Florida Caverns offers visitors the opportunity to go underground and experience a part of the state that few know exists.

Formed of Key Largo limestone, this land was sold to the Florida East Coast Railroad, which used the fossilized coral to build Henry Flagler's Overseas Railroad in the early 1900s.
