Description

At the southern tip of Manasota Key, you will find Stump Pass Beach State Park. The park represents everything you want to find in a beach paradise. Of all the experiences offered here, one particular attraction consistently turns day-trippers into park regulars. Hooked on SUP Paddle Sports provides kayak and paddleboard rental opportunities. They are located in the middle of the Stump Pass parking lot, on the Lemon Bay side of the park. Once you have parked, all that is left to do is rent your kayak or paddleboard and start paddling.

With tours and classes available, Hooked on SUP Paddle Sports can guide you to areas where dolphins and manatees are often spotted. One of the most popular routes starts at the park’s kayak launch and takes the adventurer along the mangrove habitat of Lemon Bay, towards the body of water where the park gets it name, and out into the Gulf of Mexico. If your kayak muscles are aching by this point, no need to worry, with winds and water currents, the trek back to the starting point typically requires less strain than the beginning of the trip. Rentals are available in two-hour blocks, four-hour blocks and from one day to multiple day options available as well.

Fees

  • Single kayak: 2 hours: $25; 4 hours: $35; full day: $45
  • Double kayak: 2 hours: $40; 4 hours: $50, full day: $60
  • Paddleboard: 2 hours: $35; 4 hours: $55; full day: $65

Fishing kayaks, Rraceboards and lessons are also available.
